A guided memory collection service

Before each death, there was a lot of life.

A RECORD OF YOU is a service that helps you collect photos and memories to remember and celebrate the life of somebody who has died — gathering contributions from the people who knew them and creating a portrait of a life that one person alone could never achieve.

It is not a collection of condolences. It is a lasting tribute to who they were — the moments, the habits, the qualities that made them uniquely themselves.

Begin a record

Continuing Bonds Theory and Narrative Reconstruction research both show that maintaining an active, shared connection to someone you have lost supports healthy grieving. A Record of You supports you with exactly this.

Why this matters

Grief tends to make us fall silent. We need structures that help us find words.

Western culture largely treats death as an act of forgetting — leaving the bereaved without a framework for meaningful remembering. In an increasingly secular society, the rituals that once held grief have faded. Condolence messages of ‘deepest sympathies’ tell us nothing about the person who lived. Each person in their individual grief holds a fragment of the picture of this life. Let’s piece these fragments together.

How it works

Collecting the memories about your loved one. Recorded because you care deeply.

One

We start with a conversation

Together we shape the RECORD so that the tributes gathered reflect who they were — their character, their life, the details that made them them.

Two

Your chosen circle is invited

Family, friends, colleagues, neighbours - each contributor receives a private, personalised message and link to share a tribute or photos. You choose who is included. I handle all outreach and follow-up.

Three

Memories are gathered

The guided tribute form draws out real memories — stories, photographs, recipes, songs. Not condolences. These are the details that make up a life.

Four

The RECORD is delivered

A beautifully produced collection of tributes - in digital or printed form. To be opened when you are ready. To be returned to, again and again.

Who this is for

There is no typical client. Grief does not follow a schedule.

A record can begin the week after a death, or many years later. It can be commissioned by a bereaved family or it can be a gift from colleagues, team mates, or a friend.

  • For grieving children who want to know more about a parent who died too soon.
  • To bring a life back into focus when a death by suicide, tragic accident or terminal illness has overshadowed it.
  • For a birthday that would have been, or an anniversary that still is.

A RECORD OF YOU is not therapy or grief counselling. It is a space to say: this person lived, and the people who knew them remember.

About

My father died by suicide nine years ago. In the years since, I have been actively exploring what grief asks of us — acknowledging that we are rarely given the tools to deal with it.

A RECORD OF YOU was born from that loss, and from the experience of learning more about him through stories people shared about him. A conviction grew that there is value and depth when a life is celebrated with tributes from multiple perspectives.

I bring 15 years of production and project management in the arts sector as well as training in Kundalini Yoga, meditation, breathwork and understanding grief.

Together these allow me to produce a quality-led, deeply meaningful RECORD of your loved one.

I work in English and German, but a RECORD can be produced in any language on request.

This is not a platform. This is human-led and I will guide you through this personally.
